Ever since growing up, Christian Mueller has been interested in computers. Upon moving to Australia in 1997, Christian started trading as a sole trader in 1998 whilst studying full time, later trading as CMIT IT Consultants, and then in 2008 forming Civitas as an incorporated company. This was done to improve the services provided to clients by being able to expand and take on new staff. He is currently completing a Master of Business Administration at Curtin University of Technology (Curtin), and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technologies and Information Systems from Curtin, also.
In mid 2011, Christian was approached by the Curtin School of Information Systems to help teach the Project Management unit, and will be unit controller for the Business Technologies unit in 2012.
Christian is an associate at Wiifm Consultancy, a networking group, which is famous for putting the handshake back into business and moving beyond the traditional framework of networking. Christian also a regular attendant at the WA Club.
Always wanting Civitas to grow organically, rather than through advertising, growth had historically been achieved through client referrals. After incorporation we have recently started advertising through traditional means. Most of our new business still comes from client referrals, which we still depend upon through to this day.
For fun, Christian enjoys spending time with his miniature schnauzer Zoe, is currently active as VP and webmaster for the BMW Club WA (Inc.). He regularly does ballroom dancing, cycling, and has recently picked up Dragon Boating with the Perth Pirates, winning the 500m mixed 20 state championship for 2010, and paddling in the state team in 2011.
Civitas is a proud platinum sponsor for the Perth Pirates, and is also looking after the website for the club.
